Posture & Movement Analysis
Postural imbalance and movement impairment are responsible for a vast majority of musculoskeletal pain and injury. A posture and movement analysis identifies such imbalances and impairments to assist injury prevention, pain alleviation, rehabilitation plus strength and conditioning. This process creates a posture & movement signature which reflects your current physical status. This is a starting point for any form of exercise, sport, leisure or work place activity.
Activity Analysis
After establishing your posture and movement signature it is important to analyse the activities you are currently undertaking or wish to begin. Exercise, sport, work and leisure activities impact upon posture and movement quality and in many situations can increase the risk of pain and injury. Through activity analysis you have the opportunity to create a safe pathway for whatever activity you wish to undertake whilst enhancing your posture and movement quality.
Corrective Strategy Development
Through establishing your posture and movement signature and analyzing activities of daily living a corrective strategy may be developed to assist you restore and or develop posture and movement quality. A strategy may comprise education, skill development or corrective exercise depending on your needs.
Exercise Program Design
Based on posture, movement and activity analysis an exercise program may be designed which incorporates corrective strategies and functional exercise to enhance the performance of the musculoskeletal system. Programs are scientifically designed targeting posture, movement quality, flexibility, spinal & global stability, strength and power ideal for injury prevention, pain alleviation, rehabilitation plus strength and conditioning.
Functional Exercise training
Take your training to a new level using the latest in functional exercise training concepts and equipment. Prepare for exercise, sport, leisure and work activities using a range of exercise tools including, free weights, cables, swiss balls, medicine balls, bozu, body blade, various types of unstable platforms. Develop all components of health and fitness in a safe and educational environment. Feed your body with functional exercise.
backfit program
The backfit program is based on principles and strategies incorporating movement and exercise which restores and develops back health. It is a fusion of education, movement awareness, corrective exercise and ‘hands on’ myofascial techniques providing a platform for back injury prevention, rehabilitation and strength & conditioning. The program comprises 10 key movement patterns which are portals to a myriad of movements and corrective exercises designed to enhance overall back health. The program includes floorwork movement & exercise sequences and the use of exercise tools such as; free weights, cables, swiss balls, medicine balls, bozu, body blade, and various types of unstable platform training.
Massage Therapy
Compression Release Technique (CRT) is a unique style of hands on therapy which addresses muscle and fascia ( myofascial ) relationships. Fascia is like bubble wrap, it protects and connects every structure within the human body including; muscles, ligaments, tendons, bones, organs, blood vessels, nerves etc. CRT addresses musculoskeletal pain and injury by working lines of myofascial stress which are created through postural imbalance and movement impairment. CRT is suitable for all types of musculoskeletal injuries and also plays a major role in maintaining the musculoskeletal system for exercise, sport, leisure and work activities.
